Yes! Our 7,65x53 Mauser was for all porpouses the same as your .303! For many, many years, perhaps since the arrival of the first 7,65 Mauser, the ONLY way to obtain hunting bullets was, also, to grind the point of the full metal jacket of the military ones! In those times and until the 60's and 70's, reloading was almost non existant here.
