Always hunt with a lucky rifle. Decades ago I had a Ruger 77 30-06 that was unexpectedly very accurate, yet whenever I took it hunting....nothing happened. So I sold it, and upon its replacement the deer, moose and bears started showing up and I started knocking them down. Seriously, I believe there is a psychological benefit (that can help lead to hunting success) by hunting with what one believes to be a "lucky gun." On the other hand, anyone can drive a nail into a piece of wood, and it isn't only fishermen who are prone to a bit of exaggeration. |
