Just bought this very good condition original Oberndorf Mauser Model M in 7x57. It is basically a Mauser copy of the Mannlicher-Schoenauer carbine. I once owned a Model S, but it was an 8mm and it did not have double set triggers. Even though the Model S is supposedly the rarer of the two Mauser carbines (according to Jon Speed's Mauser Sporter book), I much prefer the the Model M, especially in 7x57 and especially with DST.
