Re: Mauser Long Arms in the 1939 Stoeger Catalog

Thanks Rothhammer,

I guess $150 or so was very hard to come by in 1939, but I'm certain the value of the rifles has outpaced inflation.

Does the catalog show the Winchester 70 supergrade? Would be interesting to know how prices compared with the Mauser A.

Sho' nuff.

According to usinflationcalculator.com , one dollar (USD) in 1939 would have had value comparable to $17.76 2017 dollars USD. The Model 70 Super with Lyman sight , at $97.85 in the 1939 Stoeger, would cost the equivalent of $1737.50 today. A Mannlicher Schoenauer in .30-'06 would set you back almost twice that, $175.00 in 1939 - $3107.43 today.

Here's the rest of page 15;

Enjoy,
BR.
