I reckon that producing such rifles incurs deep craftsmanship skills however I personally do not like engraved rifles and exhibition woods. In my humble opinion a rifle is meant for hunting - i.e. being used in rough conditions and delivering in the end the perfect shot, therefore I privilege simplicity i.e. perfect barrel and action, as well as nice - but not too much, wood. My dreams are for 'austere' Original Mausers or for pre-WW2 Mannlicher Schoenauers rifles, not for more recent glittering safe queens. But that's my opinion only! Louis
