My rifle does hold five down.
On another note, forum member DPCD has sold close to 30 CNC'd Douglas 9.3 barrels made into Type A configuration. He made me one in stainless, fit it to a Mexican Mauser action, added a Recknagle front sight and Williams foolproof aperture rear. It is awaiting a synthetic stock to round things out. It feeds 9.3x62 like greasy sausage! I will soon have a pattern stock made from from my rifle, and I'm looking for someone to copy the rear sight for a run of a dozen or so. I was setting out to build a custom Type A style 10.75x68 when I ran across this rifle. Now that I have an original as a pattern, building the 10.75x68 should be much easier. Swift makes a 9.3x64 bottom metal that should work well for 10.75x68. The front of the magazine box may need slight massaging, but not much.
