Matt, is yours made for 5 and 1 or just 4 and 1?

As Matt's rifle is an original Mauser, Oberndorf commercial, type A , the magazine is certainly made to take 5 cartridges. On their commercial rifles Mauser used at least 8 differently dimensioned magazines with their standard length actions to fit the various factory chamberings. On the A and B rifles in 9.3x62 they used a magazine with these inside dimensions: Length 85 mm, width front 22.4 mm, rear 20 mm (instead off the usual 17.7). Additionally, 9.3x62 magazine wells are about 2.5 mm deeper than standard for all the military actions. This means, if you want to restock one, you need a deeper stock too, as deep as one shaped for the Mauser Magnum action. It precludes using a standard 98 fiberglass or plastic stock with an original Mauser 9.3x62 action. If you want to replace the trigger, you will need a longer (Magnum) one too.
