The problem with two-part sheet wall magazine is that of stiffness. On a ZG47, like on a W70 or many other rifles built with this type of magazine, it's impossible to guarantee an absolutely reliable fixation of the bottom metal because it varies according to the force applied to the screws. To avoid this trouble we have the choice between two solutions. Either we use pillars -a reliable solution that permits to save the original parts-or we replace the magazine with a mono-bloc type like a 1909 model.
