Hi RugerBoy,

The ZG47 is a superb action, perfectly suitable for a .318 W-R plains game rifle.
I don't think it's as good as a "A" type Mauser made at Oberndorf in the thirties but it easily surpasses in quality and strength many new made 98' clones.
The only minor defects that I reproach to this BRNO system are firstly its magazine construction in two parts including the sheet metal walls - either it must be replaced by a mono-bloc 1909 type magazine, or the stock must be built on pillars - and then, its trigger which must leave room for a modern version like the excellent all steel BLACKBURN or RECKNAGEL ERA single stage.
We use these actions to construct cheaper rifles taking advantage of the integrated mounting rails which accept the excellent TALLEY rings because on our "Best Quality" customers prefer either claw mounts or H&H pattern quick detachable side mounts.
