Thank you all for looking. NX - what more would you like you know about the 16 gau? MP I would like to see a pic. / two of that Collath (Email below) Foster; It stikes me as odd that such a popular rifle has so little info. Over the years I have concluded the following mostly through hearsay - so anyone correct me if they so wish. As you know there are the following models in Brnos 21H carbine / rifle and 21F in full length stock. These are "early" Brnos sans square bridges, some came with claw mounts and some without. The ones without where not DTd for mounts. I believe these used the small ring, small thread Danzig action therefore the military mark? They where produced from about 47 to the early 50s, in various calibres but most common in 7x57 & 8x57. In about 52 Brno started producing the 22 square bridge series Series again in various calibres but mostly 7x57 / 8x57. This series could be had with a factory scope, but it seems this rarely happened. Both series could be had with DSTs / single trigger, butter-knife bolt handle / round bolt knob. Mine was produced in 1954. Just to add the 21s had a slightly different stock with a different schabble profile than the 22s Email me a pic. < john.snopko@sympatico.ca > and or further ??s All take care TBMK , FWIW. --- John |
