Eagle27, the profile of the Type A Oberndorf stock is great for comparison. It does appear to me that both examples of Westley Richards stocks have a bit longer grip area than the type A Mauser. Checkering is very close. The forearms appear similar. I assume the forearm mounted swivel stud on you Oberndorf is not original. The Type A does have a very British look. Its possible the type A is where British styling originated. Someone smarter than me will have to say which came first, the Chicken or the Egg.....

Please don't be modest. Anyone with Original British Mausers, show off your pride and joy! Profile pictures of the stock would be the most helpful.
