Well done. You have a rifle you could hunt the world with. Take a bow, for your stock work and the L/W barrels are superb.

The trigger guard idea is a good one and I'm sure you can pick up ex-mil guards for nix to practice on. Here is the guard in the white from my 250-3000 which was filed and shaped my gunsmith. It shows what can be done. The floorplate was replaced with one that wasn't pitted. He also filled the lock screw holes, however I don't mind them as they are very practical.
