Not a thing wrong with that rifle. Should do well for everything you'd want a rifle to do. If in the future you want to make the TG look a bit less military, here are 2 ways to do it. This guard is exactly the same as yours, but with some careful filing and polishing. ![]() This guard was handmade in the style of a double rifle or shotgun. It takes a bit of time and working to make one, but it's not all that hard to do. The tang is inlet into the wood and covers the rear guard screw. The front of the guard has a threaded stud that screws into the bottom metal like a crank, and the long rear tang inlets into the curve of the pistol grip. Makes a nice looking guard ![]() ![]() The rifle was not quite finished when the pics were taken, but you can get the general idea of how it’s done from them anyhow. |
