Hello - A very nice "using" rifle in a wonderfully practical calibre, I'm more than a bit envious of that stock . . .
Is your action the intermediate lenght that many of the Rigby 275's were built on ?? I believe Mr Kokolus has "passed to the other side" but I would be very interested to know if he did in fact make up an "intermediate" pattern.
Cheers and thanks for sharing
Mike was a longtime friend and also a fellow US Marine and he will be missed. My action was originally for a 30-06 length cartridge;it even has the little notch cut out on the back end of the receiver ring for the point of a 30-06 round when using stripper clips to load. All of Mikes blanks and his Hoenig stock duplicator were sold to another fellow and I have his number here somewhere (Wilson??)Yes this rifle was always intended as a "working " rifle(as Mausers were intended to be) but the stock ,the rust blueing ,the express sights and the checkering all turned out so well that it always gets a lot of attention when on a hunting trip or at the range . I will post more pictures shortly.
