Some hastily done photos of a recently completed 9,3x62 Mauser rifle. It's a true hunting rifle, not one made for show. We have build it on an original civilian Oberndorf A type action, with a 25" Lothar Walther barrel and our traditional stocking in fine old French walnut. Except for a few color case hardened or nitre blued parts and furnitures, the whole steel was slow rust blued and the wood London oil finished. Indeed, as a Continental gun, with a quickly detachable, claw mounted big scope and perfectly regulated iron sights -there is another interchangeable gold tipped caterpillar front sight in the trapped grip cap-, perhaps, it could not conform to the American taste… I will appreciate your comments.
