having a portuguese vergueiro action laying here and waiting this rifle is very interesting for me. I believe the main market for 6,5x58 Kynoch ammo was south africa because they buy 15000(?) 1904 vergueiro rifle's from portugal in WW 1 and this rifles were sold to south african sportsman after the war.
whatever, south africa had a border with angola and mozambique and the portuguese buy a lot of german guns. the idea that this rifle was made for a portuguese sportsman seems good.

very nice rifle I wish to have also
