It is the original finish.
The rifle has had very little use.
The barrel is like new with sharp grooves

I might refinish the stock a bit

since I will never sell the rifle anyway, might as well have a nice finish.

I have also mounted a "new" Kahles 2.3-7X on it. Used the same rings and it worked out great.

The Original scope is a Gerard 2.5x and it was not enough for me if the rifle had to be used for modern hunting.
