The 9.5x57 is a wonderful round, especially with the miriad of excellent bullets available in .375" diameter. : I would load for it myself, using 8x57 or 7x57 brass. : With US made bullets, the 270gr. Hornady RN is an excellent bullet for those velocity levels of around 2,200fps. : I have long wanted to build a rifle in this calibre for my own, all-round ctg. for deer to moose and big bear. It will do it all. You just have to shoot it straight. As to range, the Norma or Speer 235 is a good deer bullet for out to 200 yards or more in that round. |
