I understand the process and historical marketing practices. I am asking if these rifles are viewed differently than factory produced rifles by aficionados of M-S rifles. Rare or no added significance? I am referring to non-factory produced variations, i.e. finished outside of the factory. Bear with me, proof marks in addition to Austrian and/or absent of Austrian proof marks. Did they export barreled actions unproved? I know they would accommodate custom orders. Hope this makes sense. A couple of other quirks I am not able to divulge at this time, but will in due time, sorry.
