Can someone enlighten me. There are examples of M-S rifles retailed by other makers. Some appear to have only the house name engraved on the barrel without any modification and some appear to be stocked in house and show the makers unique embellishments. Are these rifles viewed any differently by collectors and purists or just as one off examples. Certainly some makers would command premium prices but is there a consensus on these rifles. I ask because I am looking at one that was sold by a retailer not a gunmaker but clearly not a typical M-S checkering job. Would M-S build these inhouse to any spec? Any info would be appreciated. |
