Ed Harris was also fond of 16 grains of 2400 with cast bullets in all normal size cases ie.,all full size WWII cases. In .30'06 a 180 grain bullet has a velocity of 1438 fps from a 22" barrel. That speed would be good for your hollow points using your alloy for deer hunting but, I would prefer the flat nose running 1700-1900 fps for hunting use. I can tell you from experience that it will kill like triple forked lightning!
