I like a polished steel or brass, 45 degree slant on the top 1/8" of the front sight if a blade. This shines like a round bead in the bush, but with a swipe of a dry erase Felt Pen, it is dull black.
Permanent black felt pens put on a shiny black surface, but the dry erase versions, are flat black- perfect. A swipe with a thumb and back to shiny.
