Are you sure the second rifle is a 1910? In the 1930s the Steyr factory sometimes marked rifles for their own cartridges as "Normal". So you may encounter M1903s and M1950s marked "6.5 mm Norm." and 1908s as "8mm Norm." instead of "8x56 M-S". Apparently the two photos show two different rifles: The first one is without scope mount bases and without rear sight, while the second shows both a "factory" mounted Kahles "Heliavier" scope and a standard M-S rear sight. The front scope mount base on the second rifle obliterates the model designation on the receiver ring, M1908 or M1910.
