A rare, but not unknown factory option. The 1914 Franz Sodia, Ferlach, Austria, catalog listed the standard Mannlicher – Schoenauer Stutzen M03 - M10, full-stocked carbine as well as half-stocked rifle, at Kronen 225.-, about US$ 45.- then, pre-WW1. Factory options were listed at these extra charges: Ribbed barrel = Kr. 30.- Peep sight = Kr. 18.- Take down = Kr. 25.- Extra light at 2,7 kg = Kr. 18.- Barrel of Boehler “Antikorro” rust resistant steel = Kr. 70.- “Anticorro” barrel with rib = Kr. 120.- |
