Daryl S The local whitetail are tasty, but for premium meat, here in Texas they have competition from Axis, Fallow, Nilgai, red deer, elk, feral hogs, Warthogs, and Pronghorn plus more exotics than I can keep up with. My favorites are elk and red deer, so I rarely hunt whitetail anymore. Below is Pronghorn taken in Texas Panhandle with .308. Lots of good eating. ![]() |
