If yes, could you share pictures of the parts involved in the safety mechanism so that we can compare with our civilian models? Correct me if I am wrong but I think the Greek 1903 is built around a short magazine (as the 1900 and civilian 1903, 1905, 1908 & 1910 are); some parts are interchangeable so safeties may also be?

No I haven't stripped the bolt. A good suggestion. I haven't had loaded ammo in the ast, but now do have some brass. Might actually get to shoot it some time soon.
Stripping the bolt is a good idea to see if the safety can be turned.
