The stampings on the receiver identify it as such. It is marked 'Steyr 19xx' rather than 'Oesterr Waffenbr. Ges. Steyr' and has a military designation marked on the bridge rather than the commercial model number.
Many makers who made sporting arms of the 'Greek MS' removed these markings, this one did not.
