I had forgotten about the 235's and 225gr.ers. Yes - the 225 gr.SP Horandy is discontinued in .375. They sport a 1/16" thick jacket below the cannelure, hence the good penetration, full length just about, on 9.3's deer. If you can find, them they are a good bullet in .375 or sized down for the 9.3mm. In 9mm, the 250gr. Hornady is a terrific bullet for moose and elk when started about 2,100 to 2,200fps. I suspect the 250 SP is also good. In .375, the 220gr. Hornady FP, if started even down around 1900fps works a treat on moose in the bush. I've killed 2 with that one, a huge dry cow and 2 year old bull, both from my .375 Winchester M94 - 1,940fps mv. |
