I had a look through my books and Fank Barnes COTW shows a factory loading for the 400/375 with a 320 grain bullet at 2000 FPS with 43 grains of Cordite. Woodleigh also make mention of the fact that there was a 320 grain bullet used early on in their reloading manual.
