The CROWN-crown/N proofmarks denote proof using the special smokeless "4000 atm proof powder". The 6,3 mm marking was used from 1912 on in Suhl, but the 1,6 g GBP/KmG service load marking is still the old style. A post-1912 marking would be K.m.G./8 g, but there was some time of overlapping in 1912. So I date the rifle to 1912. |
