I have a multitude of the blemished (Hornady??) from Midway in 270 and 300 grain. The 300 appear to be 300 Grain DGS and are copper clad steel jackets as they attract a magnet. The 270's do look like the old Hornady's and weigh and measure out consistently with no visible flaws. The 300's weigh and measure out well but the peddles at the nose are not formed perfectly. I would call them a visual flaw. I took each to the belt sander and the 300's throw sparks. No matter...I can not detect any less accuracy at 100 yards than full cost bullets in a Whitworth .375. |
