Thanks all. ducmarc, the scope is an old Vari-X 3-9x Leupold in Adjusto mounts. I have a 1.5-5x Leupold that is begging to be mounted on it.:-)
I cleaned her up yesterday and believe the bolt had never been stripped and cleaned. Think I'll take her to the range and dirty her up again this morning.
