My takedown pin on my 1903 can be similarly stiff on occasions. Sometimes being fairly easy to remove/replace, at others for no reason I have been able to detect, very stiff indeed.
The spring on the pin is intact and the pin well lubed. But, it makes no difference at all.
Confused? I should say so.
I can't work it out at all.
