Update on my 1910 Take Down, Pin had to be removed with a lot of effort initially but it seems to become more compliant the more I use it, the smoother it becomes. I made a few pieces of brass from 8x57, 9.3x57 and 30-06. So I went to try the rifle. It is a lot more fun to shoot than I expected. MV was a bit on the low side for the load. I am busy making virgin brass so will re check MV once I have new brass made & loaded. The rifle was printing way to the left, and once I lifted the 300m blade, I noticed the lines for zero was way off. So, with a brass punch, (Sort of, I could not find one, so used old brass shell as a punch) and lots of care drove it back to alignment. Now I am just desperately hoping to get time to get out to the range again! Rgds, SvN |
