Dear All Some photos of my Holland & Holland Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1905: - Holland & Holland confirmed that they built this rifle in 1908. - Caliber .400.375 belted Holland & Holland, still manufactured by Kynoch. - No Austrian proof markings, only British ones. - Other markings of interest: o On the knox form: Holland’s Patent o On the barrel: Holland & Holland, 98 New Bond Street, London - Stock with rounded pistol grip, horn butt plate, horn fore end, and no check piece. - Express-style rear sight with two folding leaves for 200 and 300 yards. - Total length 114 cm (45 inches), barrel length 62 cm (24 inches), weight 3,5 kg (7 pounds). I have also added a photo for comparing size and shape of .375 belted H&H, .400.375 belted H&H and 9.5x57 MS (from left to right). Does any of you have any experience to share about hunting with and/or reloading .400.375 belted Holland & Holland ammunition? Best regards. Louis |
