I had the opportunity to handle a relic from better hunting days in East Africa, a 1910 model made for Charles Heyer & Co. in Nairobi before WWII. Take-down, four folding leaves sight (100 fixed, 200, 300, 400 and 500 folding). That particular lady has a 28" barrel. I was almost expecting to find a fishing line and hook hidden somewhere in the forend... Was such a long barrel common? |
