I trust you will get great joy from this rifle! I just bought myself a carbine take down 1910. Due to South African Law, it's going to take a while before I can take her home, I can't wait to take it to the bush! Wonderful little rifles these 1910 Take Downs! My rifle has British markings as well, including "Cogswell & Harrison". One thing that puzzles me is how difficult it was to pull the pin holding the stock. It came out reasonably stiff once, but after inserting it again, it just would not budge... I don't want to force it, but not sure how much work it should be to remove it. The spring is still working, so just depressing the little leaf on the inside does not release the pin as expected. Any suggestions? Rgds SvN |
