I'm trying to help a friend nail down if this is actually a Lyman 36 or not. The box and paper work says it's for a 1924 or 1950 Mannlicher Schoenauer. I have not had much luck finding any reference to a 36 that wasn't a swing away sight. This looks like it should mount like a 36 but it does not pivot like a standard 36. Any thoughts? Did the 1924 take a different version of the 36? Any idea if this one is anywhere as valuable as a standard 36? Thanks in advance.
