I know that M/S bolt stops changed around 1923 and that Lyman Model 36 sights made to fit the old style bolt stop will not fit the new style and vice-versa, but how was the change made? Would a 1903 Model made after 1923 have the new style stop, or was the new style confined to the later models? How do you distinguish the two? Photos would help.
