I shall hopefully shoot the rifle on Saturday for the first time. Also before I do I will be able to look at the bore through a bore scope. I hope I'm wrong about the barrel, but I'm rather hoping for much closer than 2-3" ' 100yds. If not possible, then I will re-barrel...fortunately, today I have found an unused 6.5x54 MSch. barrel that has been in stock for more than 30 years...it's gathered quite a lot of dust, but I've been told it's well greased and should be like new!
Now that is a find & I've got my name on the barrel...again, I'll see it this Saturday.
I'll bet there aren't many of those knocking around either.
