By the way..if a metal 'butt stock plate with trapdoor' should be lying around anywhere..I'd buy it - hopefully for 'sensible' money.

Fitting it should I find one and assuming the butt hasn't been reworked to fit the composite butt pad - would almost bring the rifle back to original.
Of course these things are like rocking horse poo, but you never know eh!
