That looks to be a better takedown system than the standard M1910 takedown. The standard Mannlicher takedown system uses no action screws. It has what I would compare to a "patent breech" in the rear, and it has a rotating key in front of the trigger guard that releases the barreled action from the stock assembly. From my observation that system results in the barreled action being rather loose in its stock. The only one I have fired was very inaccurate, which I attribute to this looseness. I would think this system results in a much better fit and grip between the action and stock. You can see it has conventional action screws. That's good. If there is a precise fit between the barrel and action, reasonable accuracy should result. These aren't benchrest rifles, you know! Curl |
