I'm hoping some one on NE. can shed some light on this ol .303.
I bought this several years ago ,they told me that it used to be a target rifle.
The wood is not relieved enough to accept a clip and it has a two stage trigger.
The barrel was unblued when I bought it.
I's marked STEYR 1896

On the barrel

cordite 31 215 bullet
It has a 3 digit serial # the last two of witch are also stamped on other parts of the gun.
