I agree that these old guns just speak of the glory days of hunting in far off exotic places.
Of course, some of the rifles I have "saved" would have been better off with a simple refurbishment to shooting condition rather than a full on resto. Never going to get my money back out of them but still, there is some consolation in the knowledge that a classic could go back to the field.
