I just picked up a near new condition (fired a few times) full-stock Steyr-Mannlicher Model L 22-250 carbine. Lacquer "piano" finish, full stock, DST, etc. I know its an early one because it has white line spacers, three-way safety (instead of the later two-way)and the mag release is on both sides at front of the trigger guard, not on the sides of the magazine itself. I am familiar with establishing precise dates for my earlier Mannlicher-Schoenauer rifles, but not for these. Is there a way to date these rifles? Are they marked in some way? Thanks. Sincerely, Rob |
