Hopefully yours smith is skilled quy because .270 magazine will probably need some small alternations to feed 9,3x62 which case is a tad fatter and shorter than .270`s. I donīt know what you primarly hunt but IMO .270 Win and 8x57 IS are more allround calibers than 9,3x62 which is a bit heavy side if you mainly hunt in yours domestic animals.
