It愀 totally forbitten to dry fire MS 6,5 x 54, even with snap cap. There should always be real ammos in magazinen, rifle cocked and living goal which to aim when pulling trigger....

IMO it愀 always better to use snap cap. I use to do one from once fired case; first seat new bullet, crimp it steady and then fill primers hole with piece of hard rubber.
