IMO such a heavy bullet and short barrel arenīt so good combo if drying to get high velocity. Heavy bullet with round nose could be very nice to 100 yards.
Those old 6,5 mm british Mannlichers used to have very long barrel, quite often same lenght as Greek military models (approx. 28")
