The scope, which is mounted right now, a Hensoldt Dural-Dialytan 4x Ser.# 20843, is from about 1950 I presume. What kind of low power short-scope would have been used around 1908, the date of production for the rifle, using the typical claw mount? Who were the scope makers on the market at those times; pre WW I?
