They are normally all marked "Made in Austria". (in English). The sole exception I have seen was, as you have guessed, made during the date range of the German occupation of Austria and the information that came with this rifle confirmed that. As the Germans saw it, Austria wasn't so much conquered as reconnected, (hence it was called the Anschluss).
